Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors
A LEARNING COMMUNITY FOR CHILDREN

Children's Sunday School is available during our worship services for children in grades K-6 (ages 5-11). The classes begin at approximately 10:40 AM. Please bring your child(ren) into the sanctuary with you. After the opening hymn(s) we offer "Children's Time" (pictured at right), when our pastor invites all of the children present to come to the front of the church (parents may accompany them) to hear a special message prepared for them. Then the children are excused to either return to sit with their parent(s) in the sanctuary or to leave to go to Sunday School, accompanied by their teacher.

Sunday School takes a break each summer from mid-June until mid-September.

Occasionally there are other Sundays when Sunday School isn't offered. Our website's CALENDAR page and our Sunday bulletins always indicate whether or not Sunday School will be offered the following Sunday, or feel free to contact the church office to ask.

Children of all ages are always welcome to remain in the sanctuary during our worship services. (We're all aware that babies sometimes fuss or cry!) Activity packets for children are always available; just ask an usher.

Childcare during our worship services is available for children under age 5.

— During Coffee Hour in our Fellowship Hall following worship, we offer Kids Corner up on the stage, where children can enjoy books, puzzles and coloring while the adults in the room socialize. (Please note that children should not be allowed to run or jump on or off the stage!)

— Youth are invited to sign up as Acolytes, to light candles for Sunday worship. A signup sheet is located in the Ushers Room. Questions? Contact our Youth Director, Erik Day.

— A baby changing station is located in the unisex bathroom in the Education wing.

What’s Messy Church?

Messy Church is a monthly inclusive and interactive family worship experience.

Messy Church is for everybody

It’s not a kids program, it’s not an adult study, it’s all ages together mixing faith with our messy relationships, messy questions, messy schedules and our messy lives.

It's intentional that there are no recognizable photographs (showing faces) on our website of any of the children in our congregation — a safety precaution, to try to protect them from Internet predators.
